Venice is a must-see destination, less than 70 kilometres from Caorle, is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Considered by many to be the most beautiful city in the world, Venice is home to countless monuments and places of interest. St Mark’s Square with the Basilica and the Bell Tower, Palazzo Ducale, the Rialto Bridge, the Accademia Galleries, are only some of the most famous attractions of the city.

There are different ways to reach Venice from Caorle.

By car: if you prefer to travel by car you have to drive to Piazzale Roma, which offers several parking possibilities.

By ferry: if you want to live the experience of reaching Venice from the water, then the ferry is the right solution. All you have to do is to reach the harbour of Punta Sabbioni by car (about 45 minutes from Caorle) and then take the vaporetto (ACTV), that will take you in about 30 minutes close to Piazza San Marco.

By train: by car, you can reach from Caorle one of the nearest railway station: San Stino di Livenza (22 km from Caorle), Portogruaro (27 km from Caorle) or San Donà di Piave (27 km from Caorle), which provide many connections with “Venezia Santa Lucia” (Venice railway station), a 25-minute walk from St Mark’s Square.

By bus: ATVO transport company provides several direct bus connections to Venice (Piazzale Roma). The main line is line 4A: “Caorle – S. Donà – Airport Marco Polo – Mestre – Venezia”.  To reach St Mark’s Square from Piazzale Roma you just have to follow the many directions or take advantage of the ACTV connections (vaporetto), enjoying the view of the Venetian palaces from the Canal Grande.

In the summer, there are two other possibilities to reach Venice: the motor ship “Caorle” from Caorle fishing harbour and the service “Quickly to Venice” (bus + vaporetto, offered by the ATVO bus company).
