Thanks to the flat land of the whole area, the bicycle is one of the best ways to explore Caorle and its surroundings. The Casoni, the ancient dwellings of the fishermen made of wooden and marsh reeds, are certainly worth a visit. They belong to Caorle lagoon and have assumed over the years, more and more importance in terms of tourism, blending together the spirit of the ancient town and the love for an unpolluted nature. They are located along the natural trail that starts at the municipal stadium (just 350 meters from our hotel) and continues along Strada Palangon to the so-called “Fishermen’s Island”: here you can admire different types of Casoni, from the most classic to the most original, and in some cases, thanks to the owners’ hospitality, you can also visit the inner part. The route ends in the area of Falconera, at the end of the Levante Beach.
